Ricky Hope heads up our Legal Team in Berwickshire.
He is predominately based in our Duns office but also takes appointments in both our Eyemouth and Coldstream offices once a week.
Ricky joined Hastings Legal in 2010 during a Summer in which he represented Coldstream as the Coldstreamer throughout the Border Common Ridings and Festivals. Ricky proudly held the Coldstream Burgh standard aloft and led a cavalcade of over 320 mounted riders during the annual pilgrimage to Branxton Hill to commemorate the Battle of Flodden.
In 2016 Ricky spearheaded our acquisition of our Duns office and was appointed Partner shortly thereafter. The Duns office continues to go from strength to strength providing quality local legal service to the people of Duns and the surrounding areas. Clients continue to return to our offices from which legal advice has been provided since 1896.
He continued to lead the expansion of the firm with the amalgamation of the former firm of Doughtys WS into the Hastings family following the opening of our Eyemouth office in 2019.
Ricky’s workload includes both residential and commercial conveyancing, Wills, Powers of Attorney, agricultural law, partnerships and an overview of general practice law.
A Borders man born and bred; from being born in Coldstream to now living with his wife and two children in Duns, Ricky prides himself on delivering a quality local and personal service to our clients.
