LOCATION

Lempitlaw is situated approximately five miles from Kelso in an elevated position commanding superb rural views. Kelso, which lies at the meeting point of the Tweed and Teviot rivers, is one of the most attractive and unspoiled towns in the Borders. Notable features are the 12th Century Abbey, the Flemish style cobbled square, Floors Castle and the old bridge across the Tweed. The town has good educational and sporting facilities and many quality shops. The area has much to offer those interested in country pursuits with Tweed fishing, National Hunt racing and walking in the nearby Cheviot Hills.

DIRECTIONS

From Kelso, take the B6352 Yetholm road for a little over one mile then turn left onto the B6396 signposted to Wooler. Approximately half mile past Easter Softlaw, turn right up the hill at the sign to Lempitlaw. The cottage is on the left hand side just past the telephone box.
